Knoxville, Tenn. (Aug. 1, 2019) – Knoxville’s top-shelf distillery, PostModern Spirits, will hold its second anniversary party in August with a patio cocktail party and the rst rye whiskey to be made in Knoxville.

The special event marks the first release of a rye whiskey to made in Knoxville, TN. This firrst-of-its-kind whiskey was made in conjunction with local brewery Elkmont Exchange.

“This rye whiskey is truly a rst for Knoxville,” said Owner and Head Distiller Ron Grazioso. “No one has fermented, distilled and aged a rye whiskey in the modern era in Knoxville. The rye grain is notoriously difficult to work – some say rye whiskey is made from the tears of distillers. We had a great time collaborating with our friends from Elkmont Exchange on this whiskey.”

The Hi, Rye Whiskey release coincides with the second anniversary of the distillery opening in Knoxville’s historic Old City. With more residential and business development in the Old City since opening, PostModern’s wide patio and tasting room have become a destination for cocktails in Downtown Knoxville. The second anniversary party will be a Patio Cocktail Party with food trucks, raes, discounts on spirits, merchandise and cocktails. The event is free and open to the public.
